Around the web- Check out this website all about the "Historic Mussey Grade Road." Dating from the 1870s, it boasts to have had the first gas station in Ramona and features photos and descriptions of historic buildings and spots along the road. Mussey Grade was the main road from San Diego to Julian until the San Vicente Dam and Reservoir was built on top of it in 1943.
