Recapping California's Pending Storage Regulations (fenderbender.com) — If you run a body shop or store vehicles in Rancho Cordova, new statewide storage-fee regulations are taking shape and the Bureau of Automotive Repair office on North Mather Blvd. is your main contact. Proposed rules would clarify how shops set daily storage rates, notify customers, and compare local fees, and residents or businesses can send feedback directly to the Rancho Cordova BAR office.
   

2. City Welcomes Moose Service Center (egcitizen.com) — Rancho Cordova gets a nod as one of several Moose lodges in District 4, which just welcomed a new Elk Grove Moose Service Center serving the wider region. Local leaders, including Rancho Cordova Councilmember Linda Budge, joined the Dec. 7 ceremony celebrating new officers and expanded community service efforts that will connect Elk Grove with neighboring cities like Rancho Cordova.

Johnson II’s election as First Vice President of the National League of Cities. The piece focuses on how this leadership change will shape national advocacy for cities on infrastructure, housing, safety, and economic development.
   

4. Nurse Dies After Being Hit by Car and Hitting Head on Pavement Outside VA Medical Center (people.com) — A UC Davis and Sacramento VA nurse has died after being struck by a car outside the Sacramento VA Medical Center, with Rancho Cordova Police among the agencies contacted for comment. Authorities say she fell and hit her head, later dying at UC Davis Medical Center. A GoFundMe has raised tens of thousands of dollars to help her family with medical and funeral costs.
