Here are the top stories in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch today:
- The second pediatric death of a person under age 18 in the San Diego region from the pandemic occurred on Feb. 3, as a 15 year old with underlying health conditions died from COVID-19. The County Health and Human Services Agency reported that she had not been vaccinated and urges all residents, young and old, to do everything they can to protect themselves. (Press Release Desk)
- Locals weigh in on the California bill that proposes a 32-hour work week instead of 40 hours. Tom Sasali of Rancho Bernardo asserts that a shorter work week would hurt businesses. - San Diego Community College District is hosting UndocuThrive, a one-day hybrid entrepreneur conference for the undocumented immigrant community and their allies on Wednesday, April 20. The event is free and open to the public, and welcomes all undocumented, DACA/Dreamer, and mixed-status immigrants and friends to participate in workshops and hear from speakers that encourage the entrepreneurial spirit.
