Here are three of the top stories today in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch:
- What is a children’s librarian to do during a pandemic? “You think outside of the box,” said August Diehl, the children’s librarian at the 4S Ranch Library. Diehl held a Bookopoly, a winter reading board game, where kids were challenged to read books that fit game board clues. Winners received gift cards provided by Friends of the 4S Ranch Library. The kids had a great time with the game. “I love the audience. (Children are) brilliant,” Diehl said when asked why she is a children’s librarian. “That is what motivates me. They are little sponges who love to express themselves. There are no filters. They want to do things and do not have to be coaxed. They are there, 100 percent, wanting to have a good time and have fun.” To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (Poway News Chieftain)

"This is an important opportunity for students, especially for those who might not have been ready to enroll in classes at the start of the spring semester."
