Armed Robber Strikes Circle K in Rancho Bernardo

A gunman robbed a Rancho Bernardo convenience store early Wednesday, police said.

The robbery at the Circle K at 11898 Rancho Bernardo Road was reported at 1:34 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The robber walked in and demanded cash from a clerk at gunpoint, then fled on foot in an eastbound direction, he said in a statement.

Police described the gunman as black, in his 20s, around 5 feet 10 and 170 pounds, last seen wearing a black beanie, blue hoodie and jeans. The loss to the business was not disclosed.
