Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty for James Holmes
Holmes, a Westview High graduate, is charged with 166 counts.

Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler said Monday the state will seek the death penalty for James Holmes who is accused of killing 12 and wounding about 70 on July 20, according to a Huffington Post report.
Holmes, who graduated from Westview High School, is accused of being responsible for the shooting that happened in Aurora, Colo. during a The Dark Knight Rises screening.
Prosecutors also said they "reached out to more than 800 victims and family members to make a decision" and on Thursday, rejected the plea deal offer, according to the report.
