Here are three of the top stories in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch today:
- They are the unsung heroes. College educated, most with Master's degrees, these are the teachers at the Poway Unified School District. The district has now announced their choice for this year's 'Teachers of the Year.' See who was awarded this honor. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. - They have come back to their home schools armed with the tools needed to help other students cope with their emotional health. The social isolation brought on by the pandemic affected many students. “COVID really isolated students and the students are trying to adjust coming back, interacting, having conversations and making eye-to-eye contact,” said Bernardo Heights Middle School ASB Adviser Meera Navarro, who accompanied seven students to the conference. Conference attendees are now ready to help. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (The San Diego Union-Tribune)
- Over 6 million pets are in animal shelters nationwide. Here in the Rancho Bernardo/4S Ranch areas, there are thousands of pets waiting for their forever homes. Nothing provides companionship like a dog, cat, or other animal from a local shelter or organization. Adopt your own fur ball today. Love awaits!
