Here are the top stories today in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch:
- The San Bernardo streetlight that was disrupting residents' lives, reported here on Tuesday, has been fixed. After local news station CBS 8 aired a story about how the the quickly flashing light could potentially be a safety issue for residents, an electrician came out and repaired the light. Councilmember Marni von Wilpert, who represents Rancho Bernardo, was relieved as she asserted, "This was a public safety issue neighborhood with senior citizens who need this light to get home at night." (CBS News 8)
- The San Diego Central Jail inmate who died on Monday (reported here yesterday) has been identified as 38-year-old Jerrell Lacy, a resident of the City of San Diego. An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner's Office ruled the preliminary cause of death as pulmonary thromboembolic due to deep venous thrombosis of the lower extremities, and that it was natural. Lacy's family was notified of his death. (Press Release Desk)
- Five new properties for sale have hit the market in the Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch area to suit a wide range of needs, from a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo in the Carmel Trails community in Carmel Mountain Ranch for $549,000 to a 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom turn-key house in south 4s Ranch for $2,488,888.
