Here are the top stories in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch today:

  1. Rancho Bernardo residents are getting fed up with an intensely bright, flashing streetlight that is shining into their homes. Locals said that the light is like a strobe light and very disorienting. Those who have tried to report it on the city's Get it Done app have received no reply. Kirby Brady, director of the Performance and Analytics Department for the City of San Diego, explained that due to a backlog of cases, streetlights in densely populated areas or those near a school or park are a higher priority. (CBS News 8)
  2. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department arrested a man thought to be driving a stolen vehicle after pursuing him on the 15 freeway and city streets. The driver, Jamie Bender, eventually crashed into another motorist at 35th Street and Orange Avenue. Bender was taken into custody, while the driver of the other vehicle was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital and treated for minor injuries. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Rancho Bernardo High School is ranked at number 9 this week in the top 10 San Diego Section high school baseball rankings compiled by SBLive. Rancho Bernardo split two league games with number 10 ranking La Costa Canyon High School last week. This week, they will face Helix, Carlsbad, and Cathedral Catholic high schools in the Lions Tournament. (Scorebook Live)

My name is Tami (she/her) and I’m the program director here at YMCA Raintree Ranch. I started coming to Raintree in 2000 and started working as soon as I was able to in 2009! I spent most of my time at camp at the barn, as I have an equestrian background both in and outside of camp. My passion lies in teaching people of all ages about horses, both in the saddle and on the ground. Horses can be the best teachers about ourselves, if you can learn to listen!'" (Facebook)
  • YMCA Raintree Ranch: "Then and now. Skye and Savannah met at Raintree as 'fillies.' They are now lifelong friends and are still very close in college! Both Skye and Savannah came back to Raintree year after year together as campers and 'Pegasus,' or members of our teen leadership program. They both worked at Raintree to give campers the gift of passing on the experience that they received as kids! Savannah will be returning as a wrangler this summer." (Facebook)
