For more than 25 years, the Rancho Bernardo Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol (R.S.V.P.), which is comprised of area seniors, has served Rancho Bernardo. Officers watch for porch pirates and catalytic converter thefts. They patrol around banks and schools in an effort to prevent general crime They bring cases to the district attorney’s office and city attorney’s office. 2. On Friday morning, a jogger on a hiking trail in Rancho Bernardo found the body of a man near Highland Valley Road. Police said that the jogger returned to his car to call for help.
