The California State Basketball Championship brackets were released on Sunday, and one south Orange County team is included in the Division I girls' playoffs.
JSerra, which finished second to Mater Dei in the Trinity League, begins its quest for the school's first state title in basketball. Coincidentally, the Lions will face Mater Dei in the first round, but it's the Chula Vista school from the San Diego section instead of the one that was ranked No. 1 in the nation until being upset by Etiwanda in the Southern Section semifinals.
JSerra, as the No. 3 team in the division, will be the home team when the playoffs begin on Wednesday. Tipoff is 7 p.m.

This is the first year the state has had an Open Division championship. Mater Dei from the Trinity League will be included in that division, and another Trinity program, Orange Lutheran, is in Division II.
