Car Tumbles 100 Feet Down Embankment in RSM

Two people are injured.

A car rolled about 100 feet down an embankment in Rancho Santa Margarita today, injuring the two occupants.

The car crashed through a fence and rolled down the embankment at Alicia and Santa Margarita parkways about 4:50 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said.

One patient was pinned in the vehicle and had to be cut out by firefighters, who rushed the victim to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, Concialdi said.

The extent of that person’s injuries, along with the second patient’s condition, were not immediately clear.
