The City of Rancho Santa Margarita appreciates our community partnership with SAMLARC and is looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July at their annual fireworks display at the lake. However, with the hot summer days upon us, we would like to take this opportunity to remind the public of the ban on all types of fireworks in the City, including “safe and sane” fireworks. There is a good reason for this ban, as fireworks are the primary cause of thousands of fires and injuries each 4th of July. The good news is that these fires and injuries are preventable if people comply with local laws prohibiting the use of fireworks.
Please obey the law and leave fireworks to professionals to ensure a safe Independence Day holiday.
