Man Captured in Area of Residential Burglaries

He's spotted trying to get into a house in the Trabuco Mesa area.

A 30-year-old electrician was arrested Thursday after he was spotted trying to get into a residence in a neighborhood that had been victimized by several burglaries.

Jenner Michael Dove was taken into custody about 4 p.m. on the strength of warrants for his arrest for possession of narcotics.

Perhaps more relevant to Rancho Santa Margarita residents is that Dove was spotted attempting to enter a home on Buttercup Lane in the Trabuco Mesa neighborhood, the same one that has been the site of several break-ins dating to last year.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, a witness spotted Dove attempting to enter the front door of the residence. He then jumped a fence and tried to enter the home's second floor.

The witness indicated the occupants of the home are a man, woman and child, but the witness had never seen Dove at the location previously.

Dove never made it into the house before exiting the area in a black Hyundai.

Dove had been arrested last June for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and the following day for being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to records of the Orange County Superior Court.

He is being held at the Musick Men's Facility on $22,500 bond.

This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report, as well as the facts, may differ from the original blotter item. All items are alleged to have occurred. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
