A Rancho Santa Margarita woman reported there may have been a mountain lion on the slope behind her Dove Canyon residence.
According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the informant said this was the second sighting in a month.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife was notified.
The call was made Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., from Field Point.
