Santa Margarita Girls Soccer Returns To D1 Girls Soccer Playoffs

Santa Margarita High School Girls Soccer returns to the first round of CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs on Saturday.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The CIF Southern Section Division 1 Girls Soccer brackets are out, leaving high schools across the southland scrambling to see where they fall in the coming playoffs.

In Rancho Santa Margarita, the Santa Margarita girls soccer is headed back for the 2022 playoff season.

Santa Margarita finished at #2 in the Trinity League with a record of 10-4-2. They will play at San Juan Hill, who finished #2 in the South Coast League with a record of 13-2-4, in round 1 of the CIF-SS playoffs.

The final CIF-SS Division 1 poll, released Tuesday, placed Santiago in the tops spot, Temecula Valley at #2 for the region with Harvard Westlake, last year's top winner, at #3.
