Scene and Heard From RanchoFest 2012

Music and food highlighted the return of RanchoFest as families celebrated the Memorial Day weekend.

The return of RanchoFest to Central Park in Rancho Santa Margarita was highlighted by music and food, and the party Friday and Saturday night seemed to be appreciated by the masses.

Although hampered by cold weather on Friday, it was a Chamber of Commerce day on Saturday as the event pulled the city's Chamber out of debt, according to event organizer and Chamber president Suzanne Singh.

The musical highlights included Britain's Finest, a Beatles tribute band that played to an appreciative but small audience on Friday, and the Tijuana Dogs, who soaked in the adulation of thousands on Saturday.

But there were other bands, too, along with an array of bounce houses and activities for children, and local businesses that mingled with the community. A big attraction Saturday was food from local restaurants that offered up $3 meals.

The attached video features one of the bands that played RanchoFest, along with many scenes from the weekend's big event. Check back periodically for more video montages.
