Wild Horse Loop Gets Wild—With Blood

A half-dozen men and women create a wild scene on a neighborhood street in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Wild Horse Loop was really wild on Friday night.

Six males and females allegedly squared off on the street shortly before midnight and the altercation left blood in the road.

According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, an informant called 9-1-1 to report a half-dozen people having a physical altercation in the street. The males had their shirts off and one of them was overheard yelling, "Put it down! Put it down or I'm going to kill you!"

No weapons were actually seen by the informant.

The subjects ran toward El Vaquero, then got into a white Chevy Blazer and white Nissan Sentra and left the scene, but minutes later the Blazer returned to Wild Horse Loop and the informant could hear yelling coming from the area.

Another informant reported that the subjects who were fighting were in the Blazer and in one of the houses on the street.

An informant reported large amounts of blood in the road, so Orange County Fire headed to the scene.

At least two were injured in the melee, including a male who had facial injuries. Both refused medical aid beyond the attending paramedics.

The call was made Friday, 11:53 p.m.

This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report, as well as the facts, may differ from the original blotter item. All items are alleged to have occurred.
