Wrong-Way Crash Kills Driver, Injures Child In Silverado

SILVERADO, CA — A head-on crash killed one person and injured three others, including a child, in Silverado Thursday.

The crash happened at around 1:15 p.m. on Santiago Canyon Road at Silverado Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to California Highway Patrol officer Fernando Perez, the driver of a southbound car veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons, slamming into another car. A third northbound car was also involved in the crash, he said.

Two adults and a child were rushed to a local hospital, Perez said. A driver of one of the northbound cars was pronounced dead at the scene, Perez said.
