Fires Erupts Near I-15, I-215 Interchange

INLAND EMPIRE, CA -- Four fires erupted near the Interstate 15 and Interstate 215 interchange Monday morning. The California Highway Patrol reported four fires in the near Glen Helen.

Crews were dispatched to the scene after several motorists reported the fires around 7 a.m., the CHP said.

About 30 minutes later, a forest ranger told officials that he saw a male suspect who possibly started the fire walk away from the area. He was wearing a dark-colored sweater and a bandana, CHP said.

No other information was immediately available.
