Fitness Influencer Killed By Estranged Husband While On Date: Reports

FONTANA, CA — A fitness influencer was shot and killed by her ex-husband while she was on a date over the weekend in the Inland Empire, according to reports, which said her date was also killed by the man, who in turn was fatally shot by an off-duty sheriff’s deputy.
The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. Saturday in front of a business in the 15200 block of Summit Avenue in Fontana, according to police.
Tomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, 45, had opened fire on 40-year-old Gloria Zamora and 43-year-old Hector Garduno, police said, adding that an off-duty San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy intervened and shot Lizarraga.

Zamora and Garduno were on a date at the time of the attack, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Zamora was a model, fitness coach and influencer with more than 160,000 Instagram followers. She had recently talked about challenges in her second marriage on the Herizon podcast.

“My mom was senselessly taken from us, she was murdered by my step dad Tomas, in an act of unimaginable violence,” her daughter, Jazlynne Zamora, wrote on a GoFundMe page started to support the family in the wake of their loss.
Gloria Zamora is survived by seven children, ages 8-24, according to the GoFundMe.
“My mom was more than just a mother — she was a light in her community,” Jazlynne Zamora wrote.
“She uplifted and inspired countless women, reminding them of their worth, their strength, and their potential. She always said, 'Women can do anything they set their minds to,' and she lived those words every day. Her courage, kindness, and determination touched the lives of everyone who knew her.”
A GoFundMe page started by Garduno’s daughter, Yesenia Garduno, described him as “a loving, devoted, and hardworking man that was tragically murdered and gone too soon.”
He is survived by four daughters, according to the fundraiser.
