A man was fatally injured in a collision with a big rig Saturday morning on State Route 18 south of Upper Waterman Canyon Road, according to the coroner.
Jacob Pilkerton, 22, of Lake Arrowhead, was driving a 2004 Toyota Scion north on the 18 shortly after 8:30 a.m. Aug. 3 when he "lost control . . . crossed into the southbound number two lane, and struck a southbound tractor trailer," coroner's personnel said in a statement.
Pilkerton was pronounced dead at the scene, coroner's personnel said.
San Bernardino police were investigating.
