UPDATE: Man Apparently Shoots Self in Suicide Attempt at Warehouse in NW Redlands, Dies at Hospital

Update 7:10 p.m. A man who apparently shot himself in a suicide attempt Friday morning inside a warehouse in northwest Redlands died later Sept. 20 at Loma Linda University Medical Center, a city spokesman said.
The man's name was not released.
Posted 5 p.m. A man apparently shot himself in a suicide attempt Friday morning inside the Burlington Coat Factory warehouse in northwest Redlands, according to police.
The man was identified as a 46-year-old Colton residents and he was hospitalized, city spokesman Carl Baker said in a statement Sept. 20. The man's name was not released and an update on his condition was not available Friday afternoon.
Police and Fire Department paramedics responded to the report of a gunshot victim inside the warehouse at 2200 Palmetto Ave. about 6:30 a.m. Sept. 20, Baker said.
"Inside the business they found the man suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound," Baker said. "Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before he was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he is undergoing treatment. His current status is not known."
No one else was injured in the shooting and a weapon was recovered at the scene, Baker said.
"The company evacuated the building of all employees until the on-scene investigation was completed," Baker said.
