Newborn Found Dead On Inland Empire Sidewalk, Police Seeking Info
Authorities said the baby's body was wrapped in clothing and appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — Police are asking for the public's help after finding a newborn dead on a San Bernardino sidewalk, authorities announced Friday.
According to Det. Edgar Chavez with the San Bernardino Police Department, authorities found the newborn around 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 3 in the 100 block of North I Street. Police said the boy's body was wrapped in female clothing and appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition.
Investigators said the baby was brought to the location in a blue, reusable grocery bag, which was found next to his body.

Chavez said police are concerned about the mother's well-being and would like to speak with her to ensure she has the support and medical attention she needs.
Authorities are still working to determine what led to the baby's death and asked anyone with information to come forward.
