Police Issue 30 Citations During Motorcycle and Traffic Enforcement Efforts in Redlands

Police wrote 30 citations during recent motorcycle and general traffic enforcement efforts in Redlands, according to a city spokesman.
Seven citations were issued for violations including speeding and crossing the double-yellow line during a grant-funded motorcycle enforcement patrol in the areas of Lugonia Avenue and San Timoteo Canyon on Monday July 29, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.
"One vehicle was towed after the driver was found to have a suspended license," Baker said.
Last week on Thursday July 25, traffic officers issued 23 citations for violations including speeding, failure to stop at stop signs and red lights and failure to wear seat belts during grant-funded traffic enforcement in Redlands, Baker said.
Funding for some enforcement operations is provided to Redlands police by the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
