Yucaipa Deputies Arrest Four Probationers
Announcement from the Yucaipa Station, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department

Due to the implementation of Assembly Bill (AB) 109 in October of 2011, hundreds of convicted felons have been transferred from state prisons to county jails. These convicted felons will serve reduced sentences in county jails or have been released and placed on County Probation.
On Saturday, August 10, 2013, Yucaipa Sheriff Deputies teamed up with the San Bernardino County Probation Department and conducted an AB-109 Compliance Operation in the City of Yucaipa. The purpose of this sweep was to ensure that those individuals who were released from jail early due to the implementation of AB-109 were in compliance with the terms of their probation.
An extensive list consisting of every high profile probationer living within the City of Yucaipa was compiled. From that list, 27 probationers were contacted and searched. Four probationers were subsequently arrested for various charges that included drug possession, and possession of stolen property. All arrestees were booked into West Valley Detention Center.
