2 Women Steal Nearly $4K In Perfume In Redondo Beach: Police
Two women were arrested on suspicion of stealing a large amount of fragrance and beauty products valued at nearly $4,000 in Redondo Beach.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — Two women were arrested Saturday on suspicion of stealing a large amount of fragrance and beauty products valued at nearly $4,000 in Redondo Beach, authorities said.
Officers responded to a business about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Boulevard, just north of 19oth Street, according to Lt. Shawn Freeman of the Redondo Beach Police Department.
Two women had entered the location and took a large amount of fragrance items, placing the items in bags brought into the store by the suspects and leaving the location in a vehicle, Freeman said.

Officers located the vehicle and arrested the two women inside, Freeman said.
After checking the vehicle, officers recovered $3,700 worth of fragrance and beauty products, Freeman said.

Maria Barrera and Jessica Diaz, both 19 of Daly City, were booked and arrested on suspicion of theft. They were released on bond.
