Celebrate Earth Day with these upcoming events and activities near you.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — You can celebrate Earth Day this weekend in Redondo Beach at the South Bay Parkland Conservancy's 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration, beach cleanups and more.

Earth Day is celebrated each year on April 22 as a reminder to take action to protect our planet. It's part of a movement that started in 1972 to help clean, improve and restore our plant for wildlife and people.

"This is the moment to change it all — the business climate, the political climate, and how we take action on climate," according to earthday.org. "Now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, and our livelihoods."
