FBI Hunting for 'Safari Bandit'

The "Safari Bandit" has struck banks in both Redondo Beach and Santa Barbara, according to law enforcement.

The FBI is searching for a bank robber dubbed the "Safari Bandit" for the hat he wears during the robberies, the Daily Breeze reported.

So far, the robber has struck two banks—a Montecito Bank and Trust in Santa Barbara on Friday and a U.S. Bank in Redondo Beach on July 1. During each robbery, he slipped the teller a note demanding money.

According to Santa Barbara television station KEYT, law enforcement officials describe the robber as a 40-year-old white man standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 220 pounds.
