Hahn, Huey to Face Off in Debate

With less than a week to go before the July 12 runoff election, radio station KPCC-FM (89.3) on Thursday will host the only debate between Republican and Democrat in their quest for 36th Congressional District seat.

The debate is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. and last for 30 minutes. AirTalk host Larry Mantle will moderate.

The station is soliciting questions from listeners to ask the candidates. People can call 866-893-5722 during the debate or submit questions online.

The election will take place Tuesday.

Hahn, a Los Angeles city councilwoman, and Huey, a Torrance businessman, are vying for the seat vacated by former Rep. Jane Harman, who resigned earlier this year to take a position with a think tank. The 36th Congressional District covers Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Venice, Marina del Rey and Mar Vista.
