King Harbor International Boardwalk Repaving Underway

The beloved waterfront spot in Redondo Beach will be partially closed during construction, the city said.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Improvements are underway at the International Boardwalk in King Harbor.

The project, which began on Sept. 3, will replace the old asphalt with durable concrete pavers while making safety updates, the city said. The boardwalk will be partially closed during the day for construction and is projected to be completed by November.

Crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.daily near the former Fun Factory moving towards R10.

"Thank you for your patience as we enhance the boardwalk for businesses and visitors alike," the city said in a statement.
