GARDENA, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a woman who was last seen leaving a South Bay hospital against medical advice.

Police say Carin Maya Monier, 25, was last seen leaving Gardena Memorial Hospital around 12:23 p.m. on Monday. Her family believes she may be headed towards the beach, but it's unclear which one, according to the Gardena Police Department.

Monier is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a hospital gown, according to police.

The Gardena Police Department asks that anyone who sees Monier contact the agency at 310-323-7911.
