New South Bay Art Exhibit Captures The 'Simple Joys Of Life'
"Each artist brought their own interpretation of joy, creating a truly eclectic and uplifting experience," the museum owner said.
HERMOSA BEACH, CA — A new art exhibit premiered in Hermosa Beach this month, capturing the "simple joys in life," according to the museum's owner.
The "Happy Hour" exhibit at the Gallery of Hermosa opened on Aug. 16 and will run through Sept. 14.
The pieces of this exhibit follow a simple theme: "What does Happy Hour look like?"

To some artists, Happy Hour resembles a drink at the bar, while to others, it's a social gathering or a day at the beach.
" Everything from shared cocktails and vibrant conversations to those fleeting, beautiful moments that make life feel a little lighter," Galley of Hermosa Owner Kimie Joe told Patch. "We wanted to celebrate the "happy hour" of life in every sense; not just the drinks, but the mood, the energy, and the joy that comes with them."

The show features work from over 50 artists, many of whom are based in Southern California, Joe said. A few others are from out of state. But the exhibit offers a diverse mix of styles and experiences from all artists.
Some notable names include James Frost, who, according to Joe, offers vivid and emotion-driven work. Bob Burridge, another prolific artist and educator, will also have work featured in the gallery, Joe said
"Each artist brought their own interpretation of joy, creating a truly eclectic and uplifting experience for visitors," Joe said. "We hope the exhibition offers a little escape and a reminder to savor life’s happy hours, whatever they may look like."
