Police: Burglar Jumped off Balcony

Redondo Beach police spent late Saturday night searching for a burglar who jumped from a second-floor balcony and fled after a Goodman Avenue homeowner came home and surprised him, according to a report from KABC-TV. The burglar remained at large as of Sunday morning.

The manhunt occurred in the Golden Hills section of the city, according to a Patch reader who lives in the area. Officers blocked off at least one block and brought in police dogs and a helicopter to aid in the search.
