RBFD: Fire-Damaged Home Was Slated for Demolition
Flames raced through vacant house on South Prospect Avenue on Monday evening.

A house damaged in a fire Monday evening had been slated for demolition, fire officials said.
According to the Daily Breeze, the Redondo Beach home near the intersection of South Prospect Avenue and Torrance Boulevard was vacant.
Firefighters put out the blaze, which Redondo Beach police Sgt. Phil Keenan called "fairly involved," in about 10 minutes.

Patch tipster Vanessa Poster said she "could see the smoke all the way to Torrance."
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
