RBUSD Administrators Shuffle Jobs
Almost like a game of musical chairs, eight school district administrators find themselves in new positions.

Multiple administrators in shuffled positions Friday, according to Dr. Steven Keller, the district's superintendent.
After six years of service to RBUSD, Principal of Alternative Education Steve Edmunds has retired, Keller said.
"Given the fact that his wife recently retired, Steve has decided to spend time at home with his wife as she makes her transition after a long and rewarding career in education," Keller said. "We are grateful for Steve's tireless commitment to kids over the last six years."

Replacing Edmunds as principal of alternative education is Dr. Erin Simon, formerly the assistant principal of , Keller said.
Jens Brand, most recently the coordinator of instructional services and a former high school teacher and Community Day School/Redondo Beach Learning Academy teacher, will replace Simon as the Redondo Union assistant principal, according to Keller.

Redondo Union's most recent principal, Mary Little, was named the district's director of curriculum and instruction, Keller said. Little will report to Assistant Superintendent Annette Alpern. Dr. Nicole Wesley, the most recent principal of and a former Redondo Union assistant principal, replaces Little as principal of the high school.
Anthony Taranto, who served as principal of for more than four years, is the new principal of Adams Middle School, Keller said. Prior to his tenure at Alta Vista, Taranto served as a middle-school assistant principal.
Keller said the school district will conduct a statewide search for Taranto's replacement.
Former Adams Middle School assistant principal Robert Briggerman accepted an elementary principal position in the Los Alamitos Unified School District. "Robert's outstanding dedication to the Adams' community will certainly be missed," Keller said.
Replacing Briggerman as assistant principal is Linsey Gotanda, formerly a teacher on special assignment at Adams Middle School, Keller said.
Former Principal is now the principal of , Keller said. Replacing her is Lisa Johnson, formerly the assistant principal of Crozier Middle School in Inglewood.
