Redondo Beach Man Killed In Ariz. Boating Accident
Bruce Buchanan, 51, died when the boat he was on flipped in Lake Havasu this weekend.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A Redondo Beach man was killed in a boating accident Saturday on Lake Havasu in Arizona, the Mohave County Sheriff's Department said.
Bruce Buchanan, 51, died at Havasu Regional Medical Center following the accident, according to the sheriff's department's statement.
Buchanan and woman from Los Angeles were killed when the 35-foot Nordic twin motorboat they were on flipped around 8 p.m., the department said. Buchanan was unconscious and unresponsive when he was pulled out of the water by nearby boaters, the department said.

Buchanan was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the sheriff's office. The body of Jennifer Renee Martin, 31, who was on the boat with Buchanan, was found Tuesday by divers using sonar equipment, according to the sheriff's office.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing though deputies suspect alcohol was a factor.
