Single-Engine Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Torrance Airport

Two parked planes were damaged, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

TORRANCE, CA — A pilot of a single-engine plane made an emergency landing at Torrance Municipal Airport Tuesday and collided with two parked planes, authorities said.

The Ercoupe 415-C landed on a taxiway about 12:15 p.m. while the pilot was performing "touch-and-go" landings, Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration said.

"The Ercoupe then collided with two unoccupied, parked aircraft — a Piper PA28 and a Cessna 206," Gregor said.
