What does this person teach?

Special Education Adult Transition Program 18-22 yrs

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Mr. Matt should be recognized for his outstanding teaching at the Torrance Adult Transition Program. He fosters a classroom that is inclusive and rigorous through his enthusiasm and passion. He has expectations for the adult students to acquire independent and functional living skills and to not be defined by their disability. Not only are these expectations geared for his classroom students; but, he encourages these skills for the other students in the program.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Mr. Matt has a natural ability to engage with students; as well as, with the parents and family members. He will ask the students questions about their siblings and engage in a meaningful conversation.
