There Are 2 Free Concerts Coming To This Coastal City. Here's What To Know
The Hermosa Beach Concert Series is back next month with two free shows on the sand.
HERMOSA BEACH, CA — Beachgoers next month can rock out or take part in some line dancing along the coastline with the return of a South Bay city's annual free concert series.
The Hermosa Beach Concert Series started in 1998, becoming a family-friendly tradition over the years. But it went through a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other production challenges, according to city officials.
The concert series returned last year, featuring performances by bands such as Phantom Planet.

This year, artist Triple Bueno will open up the series on Sept. 7, followed by headliner Ozomatli. Cobra Cowboy will open up on Sept. 14, and Rumours will serve as the headliner. The concerts begin at 3 p.m. just south of the Hermosa Beach Pier.
“Free, live music on the beach with friends and family – does it get any better than that?” Hermosa Beach Mayor Rob Saemann said in a statement. “Our Concert Series is at the heart of what makes Hermosa Beach special: a signature tradition that brings residents and visitors together to enjoy our City, our beach and each other, with their toes in the sand and the Pacific Ocean at their back.”
