Video: Gin, Dancing Lobster Encourage Redondo Beach to Take Challenge

In a video released Wednesday, Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin challenges residents to take the Wyland Foundation's water pledge.

Redondo Mayor Mike Gin released a video Wednesday to encourage more people to take the Wyland Foundation's Mayor's Challenge.

Gin's video, which features a dancing lobster, comes about two weeks after Mission Viejo Mayor Dave Leckness in his own video.

The challenge, which ends April 30, asks people to pledge to conserve water and reduce waste by taking shorter showers or bringing reusable bags to the grocery store. The city with the highest percentage of residents who participate in the challenge wins.
