5 Shot Sunday In Redwood City, Police Search For Suspect

Four men and a teen boy were hospitalized with serious injuries Sunday after a man opened fire on the sidewalk.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Police are searching for a man who opened fire on a group of people on a Redwood City sidewalk Sunday morning, hitting four adult men and a 16-year-old boy. In a news release, police said reports of the shooting came in around 4:30 a.m. Sunday from the 400 block of Redwood Avenue.

According to investigators, that is where a man opened fire with a 9mm handgun, striking the victims on the sidewalk. All five victims suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital but were expected to survive.
