Blotter: Man Grabs Woman's Cell Phone, Breaks it on Her Head

RANDOM INCIDENTS OF NOTE:

**Thursday, Jan. 31 8:32 p.m. - Battery: Occurred at Spring Street and 4th Avenue. Woman reported an unknown subject approached her as she was getting out of her car, grabbed her phone and broke it on her head. She declined the help of medics. Report taken.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 1:49 p.m. - Vandalism: Occurred on Alden Street. Reporting party states an unknown suspect got into her car and poured an unknown substance all over the driver's side and wrote an "X" on the window. She said this has been happening once or twice a month. Report taken.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 3:20 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances: Occurred on 5th Avenue at Spring Street. Report of a big black truck driving down the street, with a female driver and a female in the passenger seat screaming out the window for help. Officers were unable to locate.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 4:15 p.m. - Disturbance: Report of eight people involved in a physical fight in the middle of the road on Alden Street. 

Tuesday, Jan. 29 5:51 p.m. - Reckless Drivers: Occurred at Alameda de las Pulgas and Edgewood Road. Witness reported that a white Ford pickup truck stopped in the middle of the street and the driver and passenger got out, "did a little dance," got back into the truck and drove off, speeding and flipping people off.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 10:59 p.m. - Trespasser/Suspicious Circumstances: Occurred on 5th Avenue. Resident of home reported that sister-in-law went to take the trash out 10 minutes ago and found a suspicious man standing on the front porch. Man took off on foot when she opened the door. 

Wednesday, Jan. 30 7:24 a.m. - Suspicious Persons: Occurred on Yarnall Place. Two males seen, driving a silver sedan and smaller silver SUV and wearing black ski masks over their faces, wandering around. 

Wednesday, Jan. 30 6:07 p.m. - Suspicious Person/Circumstances: Occurred on Highland Avenue. Resident reported a white male with dark hair wearing a blue jacket or sweater rang doorbell and said he was there to service her cable. Resident called the cable company and was told they had not sent anyone out for work in the area that day. Man was last seen on foot walking toward Jefferson Avenue. Report taken.

Thursday, Jan. 31 7:04 p.m. - Assault w/ A Deadly Weapon: Occurred on Middlefield Road. Group of juveniles fighting - one is hitting another with a belt. Girl with the group appears to be trying to break up the fight. One subject is down on the floor. Arrest made.

Thursday, Jan. 31 7:32 p.m. - Gunshots Heard: On Berkshire Avenue in unincorporated Redwood City. Referred to Sheriff. Happened again on Friday, Feb. 1 at 12:10 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 31 10:25 p.m. - Battery/Person Down: Occurred on Hudson Street. Report of a man hitting another man in the head. The victim is now down on the ground and shaking badly. Medics on the way.

Friday, Feb. 1 12:09 p.m. - Petty Theft/Fraud: Occurred on Veterans Boulevard today. Theft of wallet, and credit cards were used almost immediately in Belmont. Report taken.

Friday, Feb. 1 2:36 p.m. - Hit & Run w/ Injuries - Vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Broadway. Suspect vehicle was an older red Honda or Toyota, driver was a Hispanic male with dredlocks. Report taken.

Friday, Feb. 1 11:00 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances/Vehicle Tampering: Occurred on 10th Avenue. Reporting party returned to his or her gold Honda Accord which was parked on the street, and saw a male suspect inside the car. When car owner approached, the suspect fled out of the car and into a blue Honda Accord, which sped away eastbound.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES:

Tuesday, Jan. 29 8:45 p.m. - Occurred on Alameda de las Pulgas. Smashed front window. Jewelry and electronics taken. Occurred sometime between 3:30 and 8 p.m. Report taken.

Friday, Feb. 1 1:22 p.m. - Occurred on Macarthur Avenue in unincorporated Redwood City. Referred to Sheriff's Office.

Friday, Feb. 1 3:35 p.m. - Occurred on Vera Avenue sometime between 1 and 3:30 p.m. Entry made through rear door. Unknown yet if anything stolen. Report taken.

STOLEN VEHICLES:

Tuesday, Jan. 29 8:10 a.m. - Occurred on Hess Road. Light blue 1994 Honda Accord LX. Vehicle last seen yesterday. Report taken.

Wednesday, Jan. 30 7:15 a.m. - Occurred on Broadway. Car last seen at 8 p.m. last night. Report taken. 

Wednesday, Jan. 30 10:40 a.m. - Occurred on Rolison Road. Female owner of vehicle can't locate her keys. Car last seen at 9 p.m. last night. Report taken.

Wednesday, Jan. 30 1:14 p.m. - Occurred at Hess Road and Poplar Avenue. Honda Accord stolen sometime between 6 a.m. and now. Report taken.

VEHICLE BURGLARIES:

Tuesday, Jan. 29 9:39 a.m. - Occurred on Island Drive in a second-floor parking structure. Occurred sometime between 7:45 and 9 a.m. that morning. Unknown if/what items taken. Report taken.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 3:07 p.m. - Occurred on Quay Lane. Unknown point of entry. Taken were cash, golf equipment and bridge toll pay device. Report taken.

Friday, Feb. 1 7:24 a.m. - Occurred on Hudson Street. Driver's side window smashed sometime during the night. Only earbuds taken. Report taken.

VANDALISM:

Tuesday, Jan. 29 10:35 a.m. - Occurred at business on Middlefield Road. Window of business smashed. Owner of business would like to talk to an officer about it because his other business was hit as well. Report taken.
