Burglary Suspect Caught Napping Inside Peninsula Home: Cops
Kathleen Joan Cuadros, 48 of Palo Alto, had been arrested in May in connection with a break-in at the same residence, authorities said.
PALO ALTO, CA — A Palo Alto burglary suspect was arrested Sunday after she was found sleeping inside her victim’s residence, police said.
Kathleen Joan Cuadros, 48 of Palo Alto, was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary, vandalism and providing false information to authorities, Palo Alto police said.
Cuadros had been arrested in May in connection with a break-in at the same residence, according to police.

Officers at around 11 a.m. Sunday responded to the 100 block of Alma Street on the report of a burglary in progress, police said.
The victim was out of town with his family and had observed the suspect inside his home via video surveillance, police said.

The victim recognized the suspect as the same woman from a May 13 attempt to break into his home while it was occupied, police said.
The victim confronted Cuadro after she broke a glass panel on the front door, according to police.
Responding officers found the glass panel on the front door had again been shattered, police said.
They saw the suspect inside, sleeping on a sofa, police said.
The house appeared to have been rummaged through, but there is not indication that any property was stolen, police said.
The suspect initially provided police with a false name.
The victim determined the suspect broke in around 9:30 p.m. Saturday and remained in the house overnight after reviewing video surveillance., police said.
There is no known connection between the suspect and the victim, police said.
Repeat burglaries of the same home by the same suspect are not common.
