Busy Weekend Planned in RWC

Oktoberfest events seem to dominate this time of year, but there are plenty of other activities for every interest in RWC this weekend---from gardening and music to circuses and fun runs.

Friday, Oct. 11

ZOPPÉ - An Italian Family Circus

The Circus is coming to town! Redwood City is pleased to welcome, for the sixth year, Zoppé, An Italian Family Circus from October 11th through October 20th for spectacular two-hour performances that will enthrall the entire family!

JOURNEY REVISITED (Reliving The Glory Days Of Journey)
8:00 p.m. Club Fox, 2209 Broadway Street

A concert re-creation of the band Journey covering their greatest smash hits from 1978-1996. They are hailed by critics and fans alike as the most authentic and endearing Journey tribute band in the world.

ARTS RWC: ART on the Square joins OktoberFest Saturday
Noon-6:00 p.m.  Courthouse Square
Artists will sell their creations on Broadway between Jefferson & Middlefield, adjacent to Courthouse Square.  ART on the Square features the best in fine arts and crafts, including photography, glass, paintings, dog collars, t-shirts, women's accessories and, of course, a great selection of jewelry.

After the races, runners and their families are invited to stay for a full day of food, drink, and live entertainment at the Oktoberfest celebration at Courthouse Square! Admission is free for all ages. Enjoy activities including traditional Oktoberfest Bavarian music, dancers, food, arts & crafts, kids area, video arcade, and of course, the best beer this side of Germany!

BAWSCA Water Efficient Landscape Workshop
9:00 a.m., 1400 Broadway, Redwood City

Second of a two part series 
Water-Efficient Landscape Hands-on Installation taught by Deva Luna: Participate in the garden installation at Redwood City’s Public Works office location! Learn the process and techniques of designing and installing an attractive garden using water-efficient CA native plants that you can apply to your own space! Attendees should dress appropriately and bring hat and a pair of gardening gloves.
