CHP Moves Car Blocking A Highway 101 Offramp In This SMC City: Police
The collision was first reported by the California Highway Patrol at 3:01 p.m. on April 25, 2025.

San Mateo, CA — The California Highway Patrol reopened the East San Mateo Highway 101 offramp that was blocked by a car following a collision Friday afternoon, police said.
A traffic accident was reported at 3:01 p.m. Friday in East San Mateo, that was partially blocking the E 3rd Ave. offramp, according to California Highway Patrol.
A silver Honda Civic and another sedan collided, and the Honda was left blocking the E 3rd Ave. offramp near the northbound U.S. Highway 101 Frontage Road exit, police said.

San Mateo Firefighters and CHP responded to the scene. CHP officers said they requested a tow truck and moved the silver Honda.
CHP reported the driver of the Honda injured their hand and chest, but it is unclear at this time if they were transported to the hospital, police said.
