City Accepting Applications for Firefighters and Paramedics

Starting today, Oct. 23, the City of Redwood City will begin accepting applications for the positions of Firefighter and Firefighter/Paramedic. 

The recruitment will open at 10:00a.m. and is limited to the first 800 applications. Applications will be accepted online at www.calopps.org.  

Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in the written test, scheduled for November 23, 2013. 

The Redwood City Fire Department is a diverse organization of over 90 dedicated professionals, with a clear focus on providing the highest quality service to an ever-changing community. Recently, the department expanded its operations through a shared services agreement with the City of San Carlos.  

The department places a strong emphasis on fire prevention and community education, and also maintains a commitment to employee development and mentoring.
