Crashes Cleared With Fog Blanketing In South Bay
CHP cleared crashes after reports of fog contributing to at least one of the myriad minor fender benders on the Tuesday morning commute.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- Fog enshrouded the Bay Area Tuesday morning, prompting an advisory posted by the National Weather Service and leading to at least the cause of some of the fender-bender problems the South Bay and Peninsula experienced.
They were seen cleared by the California Highway Patrol.
The North Bay received the brunt of the dense fog, but the Peninsula didn't escape the fray -- making for a lingering traffic issue.

The CHP reported fog contributed to a crash on northbound Interstate 280 north of SR92 East near San Mateo. The call updated as of 10:18 a.m. brought a traffic advisory that affected slows and made the commute slow-going.
Farther south, another crash on northbound U.S. Highway 101 south of North Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale blocked the right lane and brought delays as of 10:28 a.m.

At any point in the commute hours, more than a handful of incidents from crashes to obstructions in the roadway could be found.
