List Of Free Summer Movies In San Mateo County Released

Movies on the Square returns with a multitude of genres with options for all ages.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — The free “Movies on the Square” series is back this summer in downtown Redwood City with an all new lineup to enjoy mega-hit musicals, independent films or '90s classics.

Starting on June 5, locals can catch a free movie or two every Thursday outside at Courthouse Square. Family-friendly films start at 6 p.m., independent shorts at 8 p.m. and then finish the night with a newly released feature film or renowned classic at 8:30 p.m.

On June 19, make sure to catch a special Juneteenth showing of films from Black independent filmmakers followed by a presentation of "Bob Marley: One Love."

All films are presented in high definition with dynamic surround sound. Grab a table or bring a blanket.
