The last time the Shakespeare Festival presented “The Two Gentleman From Verona” was back in 2010 and was directed by Kenneth Kelleher. In 1997 and 2005 to 2006 the show was popular in the Shakespeare on Tour production, which toured schools, libraries and community centers.

Shakespeare's “The Two Gentlemen of Verona,” is a romantic comedy with witty dialogue, love triangles, and mistaken identities, that follows best friends Valentine and Proteus' journey from the Midwest to California in pursuit of fortune, reinvention and love. Valentine falls for Silvia, while Proteus, who left Julia behind, also pursues Silvia. The play explores themes of friendship and betrayal.
